In 2014 we joined Coldplay’s creative team to look after the group’s websites. Our first project was to create the Coldplay Timeline — a digital living history of the band, from their first rehearsal to the present day.
Over 1,300 content posts have been added to the timeline. Allowing fans to relive the bands' history via exclusive videos, behind-the-scenes photos, interviews and handwritten notes from the band.
All content is timestamped and displayed chronologically. Where possible, content is also assigned a location — this allows users to search for the stories that are closest to them via an interactive world map.
To give complete flexibility to management and content editors we built a content stacking system. Stackable layers include image galleries, audio players and custom video embeds.
A Head Full Of Dreams Tour
For 2016's A Head Full Of Dreams world tour we created a web app that allows fans to upload pictures of themselves at the shows and follow the band as they tour across the globe. There are currently more than 20,000 fan-uploaded photos, with new ones added every day.
