Transform is an engine room for urgent, of the moment theatre. Reimagining what theatre can do, the biennial Transform festivals curate citywide takeovers of powerful performance by artists from across the North of England and as far as Brazil, China, and Germany.

In 2016, Transform Festival, then a part of the Leeds Playhouse, became an independent not-for-profit organisation. We designed a bold new brand identity to reflect Transform’s evolution as an independent theatre production company with a local and global outlook.

A distinctive dual colour scheme — magenta and dark orange – amplifies the festival’s daring and playful nature. The primary typeface, GT Walsheim Extra Bold, is uncompromising and punchy. While the weaving lines reflect Transform’s mission to reach out and connect with international artists from across the globe.

Our work encompasses the production of printed programmes, websites, social media assets, billboards, posters, signage, and video trailers.
